As part of the 81st International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia, on April 13 and 14, 2023, a section for doctoral students in history is being organized – "Historical Processes and Events – Progress or Regression in the History of the Baltic Region?"

The purpose of the section is to examine historical processes and events in the Baltic region and evaluate the impact and changes they brought. Speakers will seek answers to the questions – what the ideas of progress and regression in history are. Is it possible to evaluate the changes brought by specific historical processes and events? What is the role of the individual and society in the development or decline of processes and events in various areas of life?

The organizers of the Conference invite speakers to submit abstracts of the papers (relevance and historical aspects of the topic, aim of the research, methods used, main conclusions) by March 13th by filling out the registration form below, indicating the author(s), name and abstract (up to 2000 characters with spaces). The duration of the presentation is 20 minutes.

The collection of abstracts will be published in the e-resource repository of the University of Latvia.
